American Welding & Gas, Inc. invites applications for an immediate CDL Delivery Driver position at our Columbia, SC location.

The role involves delivering products and equipment to customers, loading/unloading cylinders, and maintaining accurate paperwork while adhering to SOPs and DOT/OSHA regulations. Requirements include a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Airbrakes endorsements, a clean driving record with 3+ years' experience, ability to lift heavy cylinders, and successful completion of

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.
• Clean driving record with 3+ years of experience.
• Able to read and write English and communicate effectively with customers.
• Able to move and lift heavy cylinders (50–75 lbs, 100+ lbs with assistance).
• Pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company road test are required.

Responsibilities

• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers safely and courteously.
• Pickup returns at customer locations.
• Read and follow SOPs; comply with DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Move, load, and unload cylinders; ensure proper paperwork (shipping papers, delivery tickets).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned.

Duties

• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.
• Pick up returns at customer place of business.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• Comply with all DOT + OSHA Regulations.
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class A CDL Required with Hazmat,Tanker & Airbrakes Endorsement
• Clean commercial driving record 3+ years
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company administered road test.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
