Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a CDL A driver to safely operate tractor/trailer equipment and transport freight in compliance with FMCSA regulations. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure secure loading/unloading at customer sites and hubs.

The role requires Hazmat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, English proficiency, and the ability to work flexible schedules, including over-the-road assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background (education requirement).
• 21 years of age as per FMCSA regulations.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center/work assignment.
• Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Must be able to operate a forklift (min 7,500 lb vehicle).
• Must lift approximately 70 lbs. and handle pallets; meet physical demands.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test; speak/read English.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely across various terrains and routes.
• Adhere to FMCSA rules, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Conduct secure loading/unloading; dock and yard duties as needed.
• Maintain logs, records, and compliance with hazardous materials rules.
• Provide professional service to customers and the public.
