Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking dedicated dockworkers/drivers to load, unload, and transport freight between service centers and customer locations. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely delivery with potential for shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid Class A CDL with hazmat endorsements and DOT knowledge, plus 12 months of tractor-trailer experience or completion of an approved driving program.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazardous material endorsements.
• Must have 12 months previous tractor-trailer driving experience and/or completed a state driving program.
• Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving and hours of service.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers and transport freight between service centers and customer sites.
• Operate tractor-trailer safely following DOT rules and company policy.
• Read shipping labels and complete required freight documents when needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers and ensure trailer quality loading.
• Be available for work to meet pickup and delivery schedules.
