Job summary

FedEx Freight in Wisconsin is seeking a driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, while supporting the sales process. The role requires operating tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where applicable), performing pre-trip inspections, and ensuring secure freight handling.

Applicants must hold a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, with at least 1 year of relevant experience or completion of FedEx Driver Development.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements. Automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• One year experience in the last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• MVR acceptable per hiring standards and DOT regulatory requirements under FMC 391.
• LCV experience applies to specified states and requires corresponding standards.
• Ability to count and perform basic math; good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds several times weekly; able to sit, bend and climb.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies to/from tractor or trailer.
• Handle freight with appropriate equipment and secure loads in trailers.
• Complete required documentation and reports; communicate with dispatch.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and DOT procedures.
• Drive, deliver, and pick up freight; solicit additional business when possible.
• May perform duties of road driver or dock employee as needed.
