Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a driver to Pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers and support the selling process. Starting pay is $31.93 per hour, with linehaul pay options and mileage bonuses described.

Responsibilities include operating tractor-trailer combinations, performing pre-trip inspections, handling freight with equipment, and maintaining documentation. Requires a Class A CDL with hazmat/tank endorsements and DOT compliance, with a path to hazardous materials

Qualifications

Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer and perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight using equipment like forklift or pallet jack.
Secure freight inside trailers and recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
Verify and complete required documentation and reports; communicate with dispatch and customers.
