Job summary

Salt City Trucking seeks a CDL-A Local Live Haul Driver to haul live chickens from area farms to a processing facility. This home-daily, Monday–Friday role offers a consistent schedule with evenings start times and 1–2 Saturdays per month.

Take-home pay averages around $75,000 per year, plus a $5,000 bonus, and weekly pay around $1,500. Responsibilities include loading and delivering live chickens, securing cages on a flatbed, and operating on farm roads.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• No SAP drivers
• Ability to secure chicken cages and handle a cheater bar
• Ability to safely operate on uneven farm roads and difficult terrain
• Live haul experience preferred, but not required

Earn approximately $75,000 per year hauling live chickens from area farms to a processing facility. This dedicated local position offers daily home time, Monday–Friday scheduling, and a $5,000 bonus.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,500


• Bonus: $5,000

Job Details

Shift Details

• Monday–Friday schedule


• Start times between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM


• Required to work 1–2 Saturdays per month


• Home daily


• Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day off

Job Requirements
