Job summary

QXO, Inc is seeking a CDL‑A Boom Operator in New York to transport building materials, assist with loading/unloading, and ensure DOT compliance. The role blends driving duties with hands-on site work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 12+ months of commercial driving experience, operates heavy equipment, and can work outdoors in all weather conditions. Safety and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• NCCCO Crane Certification required.
• New York HMO license required.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing; 12+ months verifiable CDL experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch freight tasks, lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs+.
• Pre-inspect truck, load materials, verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect loading/unloading sites for safety.
• Maintain communication with dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and safety procedures and wear PPE.
