Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator / Tack Truck Driver for our Rock Hill, SC operations. This role supports paving projects by operating the distributor and tack truck to ensure proper application and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a valid South Carolina CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement, a current DOT physical, and at least two years of CDL driving experience. Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Must have valid South Carolina CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement.
• Must have proof of current DOT physical.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Must meet company MVR requirements and have a valid SC driver's license.
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Loading and unloading distributor.
• Proper application of tack or prime.
• Understand paving industry aspects including grades, drainage, patterns, aggregate size, and job specs.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor servicing; refer major problems to supervisor.
• May perform related duties such as shovel work and setting string line.
