Job summary

C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking a CDL Distributor Operator in Columbia, SC to safely operate and maintain our asphalt distributor truck. You will apply asphalt materials to road surfaces, support paving crews, and log deliveries with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The role requires 1+ year CDL driving experience, a Class A/B CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements, and a strong commitment to safe operation and outdoors work in all weather conditions. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of CDL driving experience (construction or paving preferred).
• Class A or B CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsement required.
• Working knowledge of asphalt distributor systems and controls a plus.
• Safe driving record and ability to meet company driver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate the asphalt distributor truck to apply materials on road projects.
• Set up and control spray bars, pumps, and valves for even asphalt distribution.
• Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure safe operation.
• Assist with plant or paving crew duties as needed.
• Keep accurate delivery and work logs.
• Communicate clearly with the paving crew and supervisor.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
