Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator / Tack Truck Driver for our Rock Hill, SC operations. This role supports paving projects by operating the distributor and tack truck to ensure proper application and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a valid South Carolina CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement, a current DOT physical, and at least two years of CDL driving experience. Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Must have valid South Carolina CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement.
• Must have proof of current DOT physical.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Must meet company MVR requirements and have a valid SC driver's license.
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

ASPHALT DISTRIBUTOR OPERATOR / TACK TRUCK DRIVER

King Asphalt, Inc. is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill an Asphalt Distributor Operator position for our local operations. This is a highly skilled position involving control and operation of the Asphalt Distributor/ Tack Truck.

Must have a valid South Carolina CDL Class A or B with a tanker endorsement.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
• Loading and unloading distributor
• Proper application of tack or prime
• Possess a solid understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor
• May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions
