Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Supervisor to support CDI leadership, ensure staffing coverage, and drive quality across CDI initiatives. You will oversee daily reviews, monitor productivity, and collaborate with facility leadership to optimize clinical documentation and DRG accuracy.

The role emphasizes leadership, project management, and expert CDI knowledge, with a focus on data-driven improvements and ongoing alignment with client contracts and best practices.

Qualifications

• Requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; related experience may substitute formal education.
• Must hold at least one credential: RHIA, RHIT, RN, MD, or MD-equivalent clinical credentials.
• Must maintain required credentials and certifications throughout employment.
• Minimum of 5 years of acute care hospital CDI experience required.
• Familiarity with encoder use and DRG assignment, including MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily CDI team operations and provide subject-matter leadership.
• Identify opportunities related to contractual CDI requirements and performance metrics.
• Develop and implement processes to improve clinical documentation performance.
• Coordinate priorities and monitor progress using project-management methods.
• Communicate with medical staff and facility leadership; ensure alignment with CDI goals.
• Maintain CDI technology tools, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
• Ensure accountability for key performance indicators and quality targets.
• Lead and participate in data analysis and reporting for committees and oversight teams.
• Develop physician and CDI staff education as needed.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of CDI specialists.
• Provide program updates and escalate out-of-scope requests when necessary.
