You will perform concurrent and retrospective reviews to enhance medical record documentation, focusing on mortality and PSI areas, and collaborate with physicians to secure accurate coding for optimal reimbursement and care quality. The role requires an active US RN license with frontline CDI experience in acute care, plus 3–5 years in med-surg/ICU/telemetry/ED.

Qualifications

• Active US RN license required.
• Front Line CDI experience in an acute care hospital.
• 3–5 years of recent clinical work in med-surg/ICU/telemetry/ED.
• Knowledge of EMR and CDI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records to improve documentation quality.
• Obtain physician documentation to support severity of illness and LOS.
• Educate providers and CDI team on documentation requirements and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with coders, auditors, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Stay updated on CDM standards, coding rules, and regulatory requirements.
