Job summary

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• BSN degree if RN.
• 5+ years acute hospital clinical RN experience or medical graduate with CDI experience and CDI certification.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert leadership and proficient review to improve clinical documentation.
• Actively engaging with providers to clarify information and communicate documentation requirements.
• Performing rounds with physicians and providing educational opportunities.
• Offering timely feedback and ensuring follow-through on documentation improvements.
• Using Optum CDI 3D Technology and approved clarification forms.
• Working closely with HIM Coding Professionals and other teams to improve documentation processes.
