Qualifications
- Current RN license or Foreign Medical Graduate designation.
- 3+ years CDI experience.
- 1+ year leadership or management within a CDI program with CCDS/CDIP/CCS certs.
- Experience reviewing CDI in acute care settings.
- Experience collaborating with physicians on documentation improvement.
- Experience using Word, Excel, and CDI/healthcare software.
- Willing to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily CDI operations, workflow and staffing to meet service levels.
- Lead onboarding, training, coaching, and annual staff evaluations.
- Monitor CDI quality metrics and action plans.
- Partner with CDI Director for client meetings and reporting.
- Ensure inpatient records are reviewed within timeframes.
- Manage provider clarification and query processes for accuracy.
- Drive documentation improvement initiatives and trends.
- Collaborate with HIM coding and care coordination teams.
- Lead education sessions and CDI improvement presentations.
- Oversee project work and staffing during high-volume periods.
