Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Auditor-CDI Nurse Educator to participate in daily CDI activities and lead education for staff and providers. The role includes audits, coaching, and developing training aligned with 3M-360 tools, ensuring accurate clinical documentation and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure in GA, CCDS certification, and 5–10 years of nursing plus 3–5 years in clinical documentation. Masters degree preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a current Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
• Certification as Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day educational support for clinical documentation program priorities.
• Function as Clinical Documentation Specialist when not educating.
• Review CDS productivity reports and conduct quarterly 1:1s with team members.
• Manage onboarding, ongoing education for staff, and physician education.
• Coordinate with CDI staff, admin, and leadership to educate and improve care documentation.
• Monitor core measure quality indicators and address documentation opportunities with physicians and staff.
• Collaborate with patient safety and coding to maintain accuracy of codes.
