Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. seeks a CDI Education Lead to collaborate with the CDI Leadership and coding teams to train providers on documentation best practices and to enhance CDI operations.

This role focuses on improving accuracy in patient records through tailored education, live and recorded sessions, and data-driven training based on audits and KPI trends. The Education Lead will develop learning materials, support new employee orientations, and partner with leadership to upskill the CDI

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills; ability to train providers and CDI team members.
• Strong understanding of disease processes, CDI productivity, and coding guidelines.
• Experience with CDI technology tools (Epic, Solventum, 3M Encompass).
• Ability to develop tailored CDI learning materials and presentations.
• Experience in education/training roles within healthcare CDI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CDI Leadership to create and deliver education for providers and staff.
• Provide live and recorded CDI training to improve documentation accuracy.
• Develop materials for new employee orientations, skills development, and change management.
• Perform regular CDI education based on data trends and audit results.
• Support testing of CDI technology enhancements and reports.
