Job summary

HRforGrowth is seeking a dedicated Child Care Teacher for a client in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on creating a developmentally supportive environment for children six weeks to six years old, using Reggio-inspired practices.

Requirements include at least two years in childcare, a CDA certificate, and a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a schedule Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–8:00 PM and compensation of $18–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of formal childcare experience.
• CDA Certificate specifically requested by hiring manager.
• Two-year degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Psychology, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for ages six weeks to six years.
• Support cognitive, social, emotional, language, and motor development.
• Apply Reggio-inspired concepts in classroom environments.
• Document daily progress and milestones; prepare reports for each child.
• Communicate needs and progress to families; encourage family involvement.
• Supervise aides and volunteers within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in meetings and training.
