Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in Garfield Heights. You will contribute to high-acuity care with telemetry, central line management, and ventilatory support. The role involves coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

The position requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS (or plan to obtain). A BSN is preferred, with a sign-on bonus available for qualifying experience and for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with 24 beds.
• Perform EKG interpretation and central line care as part of bedside management.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and patient monitoring.
• Utilize telemetry and manage patient care with time-management and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers and therapy teams to support patient care.
