Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking an LPN/LVN for the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) on a full-time night shift (7p–7a). This role provides direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision and contributes to cardiac patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN/LVN license required.
• IV and BW certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care and monitor vital signs and cardiac status.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Collaborate with RNs and care teams on treatment plans.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and protocol compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

LPN/LVN license

IV certification

Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days

Current BLS certification
