Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). You will provide bedside care, monitor cardiac status, and support treatment plans under RN supervision.

The role requires LPN/LVN licensure, BLS, and certifications with onboarding including a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Full-time nights, 7p–7a, with 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN license required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care and monitor vital signs and cardiac status
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
• Collaborate with RNs and care teams on treatment plans
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and protocol compliance
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems
• Report changes in patient condition promptly
