Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Freehold, NJ is hiring a CCTV Operator to inspect and assess pipelines using remote CCTV cameras, assist with jetting and cleaning, and support rehabilitation tasks. This full-time, on-site role requires travel to job sites and offers comprehensive benefits.

You will operate and maintain equipment, read plans and specs, and ensure safety on busy streets. Strong communication and mechanical aptitude are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 1-year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction.
• General knowledge of the operation of closed video camera equipment, and high pressure sewer cleaning equipment
• PACP/MACP/LACP preferred
• Strong knowledge of plans and specifications
• Proficient skills with lasers, line and grade
• Strong customer service and communication skills along with mechanical aptitude are required
• General knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and of necessary safety precautions

Responsibilities

• Operate remote cameras that utilize CCTV to record interiors of pipelines to determine cleaning needs and if lining is viable
• Jetting, cabling, and installing clean-outs
• Locate manholes from a map
• Perform miscellaneous related duties and carry out special projects as assigned
• Operation and maintenance of all equipment
• Performs work to support sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation tasks
• Repair pipelines using specified product and process
• Perform difficult skilled work supervising jetting of sewer lines and manholes
• Set up/take-down traffic control in the street
• Store footage
