Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a CCTV Operator to perform camera inspections of pipelines, locate manholes, and support jetting and cleaning operations. This full-time role requires field work near waterlines and sewer systems, with travel.

Responsibilities include operating remote CCTV cameras, recording footage, and contributing to maintenance and rehabilitation tasks. Emphasis on safety, team communication, and reliable equipment handling.

Qualifications

• At least 1-year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction.
• Knowledge of closed video camera equipment and high pressure sewer cleaning equipment.
• PACP/MACP/LACP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plans and specifications.
• Proficient with lasers, line and grade.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with mechanical aptitude.
• General knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote CCTV cameras to record interiors of pipelines for inspections and determine cleaning needs and lining candidates.
• Jetting, cabling, and installing clean-outs.
• Locate manholes from a map.
• Perform related duties and carry out special projects as assigned.
• Operate and maintain all equipment.
• Support sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation tasks.
• Repair pipelines using specified products and processes.
• Supervise and participate in jetting and vactoring of manholes and lift stations.
• Set up/take-down traffic control in streets.
• Store CCTV footage.
