Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking a CCTV Operator to inspect and document the interiors of pipelines using remote CCTV cameras. Travel may be required as work spans waterlines, sanitary and storm sewers.

You will perform jetting, cabling, and locate manholes, while operating and maintaining equipment to support sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation projects. The role is full-time, with a flexible schedule including possible shifts, weekends, or evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience with water/sewer CCTV, jetting or CIPP construction preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with closed video camera operation and high-pressure sewer cleaning equipment.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work in potentially confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote CCTV cameras to record interiors of pipelines for inspections and determine cleaning needs or lining eligibility.
• Perform jetting, cabling, and install clean-outs.
• Locate manholes from maps and assist in sewer maintenance tasks.
• Set up/take-down traffic control and maintain equipment.
• Store footage and support rehabilitation projects as assigned.
