Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking CCTV Operators to join a fast-growing infrastructure team. You will operate remote cameras to record interiors of pipelines, locate manholes from maps, and perform cleaning and lining preparation for sewer projects.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role with shifts that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. Travel is required; benefits include health, vision, dental, a 401K, income protection, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction.
• General knowledge of camera operation and high-pressure sewer cleaning equipment.
• PACP/MACP/LACP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plans and specifications.
• Proficient with lasers, line and grade.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; mechanical aptitude required.
• Awareness of safety hazards and precautions.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote cameras to record interiors of pipelines for inspections and determine cleaning needs.
• Jetting, cabling, and installing clean-outs.
• Locate manholes from maps for project planning.
• Carry out miscellaneous duties and participate in special projects.
• Operate and maintain all equipment used on site.
• Support sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation tasks.
• Repair pipelines using specified products and processes.
• Assist with jetting and vactoring of manholes and lift stations.
• Set up and take down street traffic control.
• Store footage and monitor surveillance.
