Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Fort Worth is seeking a CCL Supervisor II to lead a CCR unit dedicated to child care regulation and safety. You will supervise staff, oversee inspections and investigations, and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policies while guiding professional development and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Preferably in a human services related field.
• Preferred experience in child care regulation, child development, or closely related activities.
• Preferred experience in supervision, management or leading projects.
• Must be able to travel, sometimes overnight.
• Must be able to work outside of regularly scheduled hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Staff Development: Manage and develop the performance of employees within the unit.
• Unit management and daily operations: ensure actions are processed and health and safety of children are maintained.
• Enforcement Actions: identify and enforce corrective actions per regulations.
• Community Engagement: participate in outreach and inform public and stakeholders.
• Professional development: maintain current knowledge and support staff development.
• Other duties as assigned: complete tasks beyond core functions as needed.
