Job summary

Lost River Cave is seeking a Gift Shop Manager to lead daily operations, sales, and merchandising in the on-site gift shop. You will supervise staff, manage inventory, and collaborate with the Marketing and Tourism teams to ensure a welcoming visitor experience.

The role requires at least three years in retail or hospitality, strong leadership, and excellent customer service. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to influence merchandising and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent with significant retail experience.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, tourism, or related fields.
• Knowledge of cash handling, cash reconciliation, POS systems, and basic retail financial procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily gift shop operations to ensure a welcoming, organized environment.
• Coordinate front-end operations with Tour Staff Manager and leadership team.
• Monitor store cleanliness, equipment, and facilities; address issues promptly.
• Supervise, train, coach, and support cashiers and retail staff.
• Develop and implement marketing plans, promotions, and sales initiatives.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, receiving, stocking, and returns.
• Prepare sales and operating reports and monitor performance against budget.
