Job summary

America’s Heartland Packing is seeking a Cattle Payables Clerk to organize, reconcile, and issue payments for cattle purchased daily at the plant. The role requires strong attention to detail and accurate data entry into AS/400 systems, with collaboration across barn and payable staff.

The position involves vendor setup, lien checks, document verification, and processing checks while ensuring timely and accurate settlements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Input data into system, match to harvest lots, and issue checks for cattle.
• Work with barn and cattle payable personnel to solve issues.
• Set up new vendors, check for liens, and all other necessary documents.
• Organize & scan scale tickets for backup.
• Assist in entering the receipt of the cattle into the system (AS400) with accuracy.
• Reconcile variances in cattle costs.
