Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers is seeking a dedicated teacher to guide students in a Christ-centered environment. The Teacher reports to the principal and implements school policies in line with Archdiocese guidelines, preparing engaging lessons and maintaining classroom discipline.

Bachelor’s degree required; must meet Safe Environment and fingerprint checks; responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing student growth, and communicating with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of subject assigned and curriculum.
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented; works well independently and on a team.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• May work some weekends and nights; full school day commitment.
• Must pass Safe Environment requirements and background checks.
• Must pass DPS fingerprinting screening.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling Catholic teaching.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to safety procedures.
• Plans and delivers lessons; uses technology to enhance learning.
