Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a full-time teacher to guide and educate students in a Christ-centered environment. You will report to the principal and align with school policies and the Archdiocese’s standards.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, upholding safety and confidentiality, and collaborating with staff to support student growth and development. A bachelor’s degree and appropriate credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid state certificate.
• Technology proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet use for educational purposes and multimedia presentations.
• Demonstrated competency in the subject area(s).
• Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements and background screening.
• Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters.
• Plan and implement lesson plans meeting curriculum requirements and Texas guidelines.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Establish open communication with parents, students, and staff.
