Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio invites applications for a full-time Teacher at a Catholic school. You will report to the principal and carry out school and Archdiocese policies, guiding students in a Christ-centered environment.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, implementing instructional strategies, maintaining records, and contributing to the school’s mission. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and state certification or coursework, plus background screenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for teaching.
• 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid state certificate.
• Technology proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet use for educational purposes and multimedia presentations.
• Demonstrated competency in the subject area(s).
• Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening.
• Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening and the Do Not Hire Registry background screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and TEA guidelines.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for diverse learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to policies and regulations.
• Plan instructional activities using appropriate materials and equipment.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and supervise aides/volunteers.
