Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a full-time Teacher to guide, inspire, and educate students in a Christ-centered environment. You will report to the principal and follow Archdiocesan and school policies while fostering safety and confidentiality.

The role covers instruction planning, classroom management, family communication, and participation in committees to support the school mission and student growth.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
• Adheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill curriculum requirements
• Present subject matter according to TEA and Church guidelines
• Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies reflecting student needs
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and plan activities
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals and methods
• Use technology to strengthen teaching/learning
• Help students analyze and improve study methods
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement
• Be a positive role model for students
• Create classroom environment conducive to learning
• Manage student behavior per code of conduct
• Establish open communication with parents and staff
• Participate in staff development and meetings
