Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a dedicated teacher to guide and educate students in a Christ-centered environment. The teacher reports to the principal and will implement the school’s policies and archdiocesan guidelines in daily classroom activities.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, modeling Gospel values, coordinating with staff, and ensuring student safety and confidentiality while fostering a positive learning community.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid state certificate.
• Technology proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and multimedia presentations.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Works with staff to determine instructional goals and methods per requirements
• Develops and implements lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters and protects sensitive information
• Establishes classroom environment conducive to learning and manages student behavior
• Communicates effectively with parents, students, and colleagues
• Participates in staff development and adheres to school policies
