Job summary

The Diocese of Green Bay seeks a Catholic Communications Writer/Editor to produce engaging, mission-aligned content for the Diocese and On Mission Media. This role develops columns, feature articles, profiles and inspiring stories for On Mission magazine, e-newsletter and website.

It combines strong writing, reporting, interviewing, and storytelling with a deep understanding of Catholic faith, collaborating with teams to ensure content reflects Church life and mission.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in writing, journalism, English, communications, or related field.
Strong understanding of and commitment to the Catholic faith; must be a practicing Catholic.
Excellent knowledge of writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading principles.
Solid working knowledge of print and digital media.

Responsibilities

Research and develop story ideas for Diocese of Green Bay and On Mission Media.
Conduct interviews; write and edit compelling feature stories and columns.
Adapt content for digital and print audiences across platforms.
Collaborate with communications, editorial, and ministry teams to reflect mission.
Translate complex faith topics into clear, accessible content for a broad Catholic audience.
