Job summary

Corrpro Companies seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Cathodic Protection Engineering Team in the Houston region. You will oversee resource management, standardize work products, and ensure high-quality technical support for customers in the energy and water sectors.

The role requires a BS in engineering, PE license preferred, and extensive cathodic protection experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred.
AMPP CP Certification – ideally CP Technologist.
8 years of cathodic protection engineering experience.
3 years of supervisory experience in making people management decisions and comfortable in a management position preferred.
Experience with Operations and interacting with Business Development group.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and empower employees, strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently.
Experience effectively communicating with both customers and fellow employees.
Experience with complex MS Excel spreadsheets, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and databases, with the ability to learn new applications quickly.

Responsibilities

Manage the Houston Region’s technical organization including resource management, work product standardization, quality, training, development of technical employees and the provision of technical support services as required to support the business and its customers.
Direct and coordinate engineering staff to support business development, operations, R&D and industry needs.
Hire, train and develop employees to execute engineering department functions.
Instruct and advise employees on policies and procedures affecting the work environment.
Plan and direct field efforts for effective coordination with sales operations.
Provide data to the Director of Engineering in the preparation of each year’s engineering budget.
Interact with customers on technical issues requiring specialized skills or data interpretation.
Organize, schedule, coordinate staff and assign subcontractors to projects to obtain most effective utilization of resources and meet commitments to customers.
Visit jobsites to provide technical guidance to ensure successful execution of the work.
