Central Business Solutions, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Cathodic Protection Engineering team. You will manage resources, ensure engineering quality, and develop staff while collaborating with operations and business development to meet customer needs.

The role requires a PE license (preferred), AMPP CP certification, and 8+ years in CP engineering, with 3+ years in supervision. A market-competitive package and quarterly bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• AMPP Cathodic Protection (CP) Certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of cathodic protection engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or people management experience preferred.
• Experience collaborating with operations and business development teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of corrosion engineers.
• Provide technical guidance on engineering principles, cathodic protection design, material selection, survey methods, and analytical reporting.
• Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate engineering staff.
• Promote a collaborative work environment and resolve employee-related matters.
• Coordinate engineering resources to support operations and customer requirements.
• Assist in engineering budget planning and resource forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers, addressing complex engineering issues.
• Plan, organize, and assign engineering resources and subcontractors to projects.
• Review engineering surveys, designs, proposals, and project deliverables.
