Job summary

St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin is seeking a Cath Lab Technician to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab setting.

You will operate equipment such as IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, and AngioJet, while scrubbing and ensuring radiation safety. Prospective candidates should understand imaging workflow, patient positioning, and how to capture clear results for accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Radiology Technology Program.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT.
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months.
• Registered Cardiac Elect or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
• Minimum three years clinical hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab.
• Independently operate ancillary lab equipment (IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy, laser, AngioJet).
• Scrub and demonstrate competency in all diagnostic/interventional procedures and maintain radiation safety.
• Understand imaging workflow, patient positioning, and capture clear results for timely diagnosis.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting. Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers. To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

• Associate degree in a related field
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Pay Range

$32.30 - $48.05 /hour
