Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. You will independently operate a range of lab equipment and demonstrate strong radiation safety practices while supporting physicians and staff.

The role requires radiology tech education, interventional radiology experience, and applicable certifications (RCIS/RTR, BLS, ACLS). This position is based at Baylor St.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Radiology Technology Program upon hire
• One year of experience in Interventional radiology
• RCIS or RTR certification upon hire
• BLS CPR certification within 14 days
• ACLS certification within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Operate all ancillary lab equipment including IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet
• Scrub techniques for diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Maintain radiation safety practices and accurate imaging results
• Understand imaging workflow and patient positioning for clear diagnoses

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.

Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of Radiology Technology Program upon hire
• One (1) year of experience in Interventional radiology
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) N/A upon hire Required or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) N/A upon hire Required
