Job summary

St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks an experienced Cath Lab Tech to support diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures in the lab.

You will independently operate cath lab equipment and ensure radiation safety while delivering accurate imaging and patient care. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and commitment to service excellence in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Radiology Technology Program and ARRT registered radiographer.
• ACLS within 6 months, BLS/CPR current.
• Cardiac electrophysiology or invasive cardiology certification preferred.
• Interventional lab experience desirable for acute care.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging workflow.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab.
• Operate and troubleshoot all ancillary cath lab equipment (IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, AngioJet).
• Maintain radiation safety standards and produce clear, diagnostic imaging results.
• Provide quality, reliable service; demonstrate punctuality and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and staff to support patient care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.

Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of Radiology Technology Program

• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT

• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months

• Registered Cardiac Electr, or

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or

Preferred

• Acute care hospital experience

• One (1) year of experience in Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab

Pay Range

$29.36 - $43.68 /hour
