Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a Cardiovascular Lab Technologist to support the Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures. You will assist physicians during invasive procedures, manage imaging, and participate in continuous quality improvement while on-call.

A strong background in cardiovascular health sciences and related certifications is required. Applicants should have RCIS/RCES/ARRT CI/VI eligibility, ACLS within six months, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Four years clinical patient care experience required, if not graduate of Cardiovascular Invasive program.
• Graduate of a cardiovascular invasive program preferred.
• Health sciences degree required (diploma/associate/baccalaureate).
• Certification exams RCIS/RCES/ARRT CI/VI within two years; ACLS within six months; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to adults in Cardiac Cath Lab and to other patients; assist physicians during invasive procedures.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or response to treatments.
• Responsible for image management.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Participate in performance and quality improvement.
• Assume on-call responsibility.
• Demonstrate ability to function under stress or emergent situations.
