Requirements include four years of clinical patient care, a health sciences degree or cardiovascular invasive program, and RCIS/RCES/ARRT CI/VI exams within two years, plus ACLS and BLS certifications. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Four years clinical patient care experience required.
• Previous cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
• Health sciences degree or diploma required.
• Cardiovascular invasive program graduate preferred.
• RCIS/RCES/ARRT CI or VI exam within two years.
• ACLS within six months; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to adults in the Cardiac Cath Lab and to others in Special Procedures.
• Assist physicians during invasive, sterile procedures.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or response to treatments.
• Responsible for image management and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement.
• Assume on-call responsibility; work under stress when needed.
