Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, seeks a Cardiovascular Lab Technologist to provide direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures as a scrub assistant or monitor tech.

You will collaborate with cardiovascular teams to deliver high-quality care and ensure cath lab readiness and 24-hour coverage. The role requires cath lab or invasive radiology experience, a Louisiana radiology license or CCI-RCIS, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

Six months of cath lab experience or 1 year of invasive radiology experience or in some circumstances, candidates with 2 years of radiology tech experience may be considered.
Louisiana State Radiology Licensure or CCI-RCIS
Current BLS certification through ILCOR courses with a manikin check off
Able to work flexible hours
Able to take on-call and report to the facility within 30 minutes
Basic understanding of budgetary controls.

Responsibilities

Direct care of adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures as scrub assistant or monitor tech within Cardiovascular Services.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to promote excellence in cardiovascular care for diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures.
Participate in 24-hour cath lab availability with on-call rotation and 30-minute response time.
