Job summary

LCMC Health in Covington, LA is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to support a high-acuity cardiovascular team. You will operate imaging equipment, maintain strict radiation safety, and contribute to real-time diagnostic and interventional procedures.

You will work with interventional cardiologists and nurses to deliver exceptional patient care, uphold ALARA standards, and advance procedural excellence in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• Radiology tech experience or training in Cath Lab settings.
• Maintain patient safety and image quality under fast-paced conditions.
• Comply with ALARA radiation safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates X-ray and angiography equipment per policy.
• Labels and marks digital films correctly.
• Maintains radiation exposure within ALARA limits.
• Ensures X-ray badges are maintained and exposure tracked.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in Cath Lab.
• Demonstrates knowledge of scrubbing, circulating, and hemodynamic monitoring techniques.
