Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Cardiovascular Team in Covington, LA.

The role supports the surgical team as a scrub person, preparing instrumentation and supplies under RN supervision to ensure patient safety and sterility during procedures. The position requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, with at least one year of experience preferred and ILCOR-compliant BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• LPN Licensure (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Surgical Technologist serves as a scrub person on the surgical team.
• Prepares and handles instrumentation, supplies, and devices for procedures.
• Works under the supervision of a RN to maximize patient safety and sterile technique.
