Qualifications

• Six months of cath lab experience or 1 year of invasive radiology experience or in some circumstances, candidates with 2 years of radiology tech experience may be considered.
• Louisiana State Radiology Licensure or CCI-RCIS
• Current BLS certification through ILCOR courses with a manikin check off
• Able to work flexible hours
• Able to take on-call and report to the facility within 30 minutes
• Basic understanding of budgetary controls.

Responsibilities

• Direct care of adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures as scrub assistant or monitor tech within Cardiovascular Services.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to promote excellence in cardiovascular care for diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Participate in 24-hour cath lab availability with on-call rotation and 30-minute response time.

Job Description And Position Requirements

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Hours

Monday - Friday 6:30 - 5:00. Four 10 hour shifts. On call rotation for week, weekend, and holiday.

Summary of the Job

Responsible and accountable for the direct care of the adult and geriatric patient undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures by functioning as scrub assistant or monitor tech. This professional will work with multidisciplinary teams within Cardiovascular Services and St. Tammany Parish Hospital to promote excellence in cardiovascular care. The nature of procedures performed is diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology. Additionally, the Cardiovascular Lab Technologists will be in an on-call rotation with a 30 minute response time in order provide 24 hour cath lab availability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Six months of cath lab experience or 1 year of invasive radiology experience or in some circumstances, candidates with 2 years of radiology tech experience may be considered
• Louisiana State Radiology Licensure or CCI-RCIS
• Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off
• Able to work flexible hours
• Able to take on-call and report to the facility within 30 minutes
• Basic understanding of budgetary controls.

Physical Demands

Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
