Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to assist physicians in complex cardiac procedures using state-of-the-art cath lab technology. You will guide patients and families through care, while ensuring precision in treatment and maintaining a sterile environment.

The role requires ACLS/BLS within 30 days, ARRT-R radiography within 6 months, and associate degree, with cath/EP lab experience preferred. A call rotation is included.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required within 30 days of start date
• ARRT-R Radiography within 6 months of start date; RCIS preferred
• Associate Degree required

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment for safe treatment
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion
• Safeguard a sterile, safe environment and advocate for every patient

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements


• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures


• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment


• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care


• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• (ARRT‑R) Radiography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date; RCIS preferred


• Associate Degree


• 2 years acute care, 1 year critical care experience preferred or Cath and/or EP lab experience preferred


• Call rotation

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB‑GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
