Job summary

Ascension in Franklin, Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Cath Lab professional to support real-time patient monitoring and seamless procedure flow. The role emphasizes precise communication, patient education, and strict infection control to ensure safety and excellent care.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining sterile environments, and collaborating with the clinical team to optimize outcomes for each patient.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• CCI credential: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCVIS) or Cardiovascular Tech (Electrophysiology).
• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

• Lead real-time physiological monitoring by tracking heart rhythms and hemodynamic data to provide the clinical team with critical insights needed for split-second decision-making.
• Prepare specialized equipment and maintain a sterile environment to ensure the physician has exactly what they need before they ask for it.
• Communicate patient status with precision and alert the care team immediately to maintain patient safety.
• Educate patients on post-procedure recovery steps to ensure a safe and confident transition home.
• Manage room transitions and infection control protocols to guarantee a space optimized for healing and safety.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

Job responsibilities

• Lead real-time physiological monitoring by tracking heart rhythms and hemodynamic data to provide the clinical team with the critical insights needed for split-second decision-making.
• Anticipate and adapt to procedure flow by preparing specialized equipment and maintaining a sterile environment, ensuring the physician has exactly what they need before they even ask for it.
• Communicate patient status with precision, identifying subtle changes in condition and alerting the care team immediately to maintain the highest standards of patient safety.
• Empower patients through clear education, translating complex post-procedure recovery steps into easy-to-understand instructions that ensure a safe and confident transition home.
• Support a seamless care environment by managing room transitions and infection control protocols, guaranteeing that every patient enters a space optimized for their healing and safety.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education
