Job summary

Wilson Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our team in Wilson, NC. The role supports high‑quality patient care in a fast-paced environment with a schedule of full-time days (7:00-3:30, no weekends).

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, BLS certification within 6 months of hire, and licensure as a radiologic operator with ARRT credentials. Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab and strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• State license as radiation operator; ARRT Radiologic Technologist; CI or RCIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces errors.
• Formulates an individualized plan of care and revises it as indicated by patient response.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, provider, patient and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers and referrals.
• Assesses learning needs of patient/family and provides education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient and protects patient rights.

How you’ll contribute

A Cardiac Cath Lab Technician who excels in this role:

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What we’re looking for

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire
• License: Licensed by the state as a radiation operator; Registered by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist; CI or RCIS - preferred
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab - preferred
• Skills and Abilities: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
