Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, NV is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to support safe surgical procedures in the OR. This full-time role requires critical thinking, the ability to work under pressure, and on-call participation as needed.

Essential responsibilities include instrument preparation, sterile technique, patient positioning, and collaboration with the surgical team. Certification in BLS and Surgical Tech or RN license are preferred, with prior OR experience

Qualifications

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by hospital orientation.
• Surgical Technologist Certification (NCCT or NBSTSA), or RN License preferred.
• One year of experience in a general OR environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments; assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Transport to decontamination; ensure instruments are clean and functional.
• Maintain sterile field; count instruments, sponges, and needles for each case.
• Prepare Cath Lab for procedures; ensure equipment and supplies are ready.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and between-case clean-up.
• Document patient assessments and care activities as RN oversight.
