Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, NV is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to support the safe performance of surgical procedures and coordinate instrument readiness in the OR. You will prepare and maintain instruments, assist the surgical team, transport to decontamination, and help ensure sterile technique while participating in on-call duties as required by the department.

Applicants should have BLS certification, an NCCT/NBSTSA Surgical Technologist credential or RN license,

Qualifications

• BLS certification completed by hospital orientation.
• Surgical technologist certification or RN license preferred.
• At least 1 year in a general OR environment.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Word).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and assist the surgical team.
• Transport to the decontamination room and ensure instrument readiness.
• Maintain sterile field and accurate instrument counts.
• Assist with instrument setup for Cath Lab procedures.
• Document patient care activities and communicate changes to staff.
• Assist with patient positioning and draping.
• Support interdepartmental coordination for patient discharge/transfer.
