Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to join our invasive cardiac services team on a full-time first shift. The role supports diagnostic and imaging procedures across Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Cardiovascular Observation Unit, with emphasis on interventional imaging and device implantation.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree and ARRT registration, plus Kentucky radiology license and BLS; ACLS and NIHSS may be required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Certificate for Radiologic Technologist required.
• ARRT Registry in Radiography (R) within 90 days of hire date.
• Kentucky Radiation License with the KY Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• BLS certification required (must obtain if not already).
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• NIHSS certification upon Neurovascular orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Provides healthcare services using cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures.
• Perform arterial/venous sheath removals and/or closure devices.
• Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist during implantation of permanent pacemakers/ICDs.
• Perform digital imaging techniques and aseptic technique.
• Manage complications such as air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis, perforations, tamponade.

Cath Lab Tech Full Time I First Shift Diagnostic and Imaging I Lexington, Ky $15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals Baptist Health invasive cardiac services, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment and research.

Our three units encompass the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Cardiovascular Observation Unit. Our invasive Cardiac Services include cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, percutaneous catheter interventions, cardiac MEMs, interventional neurology, interventional radiology, cardiac ablations, pacemakers/defibrillators, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, loop recorder implants, transesophageal echocardiograms, and electrical cardioversions.

The cardiovascular observation unit also serves as our preoperative and postoperative area.

Description

Provides healthcare services using cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures.

Arterial/venous sheath removals and/or closure devices

Assisting physicians during electrophysiology procedures.

Competent in: Atrial and Ventricular Ablation procedures; LAAO Procedures and Lead Extractions.

Assisting physicians during the implantation of permanent pacemakers / ICDs3.

Performing digital imaging techniques.

Aseptic technique.

Management of complications such as but not limited to, air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis reactions, perforations of vessels and cardiac tamponade.

Complies with regulatory guidelines.

Demonstrates professional judgement in performance of services and maintains demeanor complementary to medical ethics.

Qualifications

Associate degree.

Certificate for Radiologic Technologist.

Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry in Radiography RT (R) required within 90 days of hire date.

Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.

ACLS certification within one year of hire.

Obtain NIHSS certification upon completion of Neurovascular orientation.
